Fundraising Laws in Ohio?

Does anyone know about fundraising laws in Ohio? I want to raise money for a family member by doing fundraisers and benefits, but I am not sure if I fall under the guidelines of a non-profit agency or any other charitable group. I also am not sure of what you are and are not allowed to do to raise money for private matters (i.e. "casino nights", auctions, etc.). Thank you!
