Why doesn't my stepmom let me hangout with my boyfriend?

Okay now I have this boyfriend that I have been dating for a little more then 1 month. We like each other alot! But my stepmom won't let us hangout. I mean she has once.. But still it's not enough. Me and my boyfriend do not go to the same school eather. We know each other very well though. I don't wanna break up with him because I haven't ever felt this way with a guy before. What should I do or say to my stepmom to make it be okay for me and him to hangout more? Please, Answers would be great(: Thanks.*
