Should the payment of bills come before a holiday?

I would absolutely pay my bills first.. That is what I do and have had to sacrifice a summer vacation this year for bills since the economy has gotten so bad. I tell my son that that is what you have to do when you are an adult that you have to work and pay bills. Bills before Pleasure at my house.
