Trying to convert WLMP to mp4 or any video file, help?

Okay, so before you bombard me with links, I've tried every link that I've looked up. No matter which converter program I've downloaded, I've always gotten the same pop-up saying "This file is not the right format," or something along those lines. I need one that REALLY works. I have Windows Live Movie Maker and I have Windows 7. I recently made my first video on the program and it only lets me save as .wlmp format, and I need it to at least be an mp4 or .wmv ....Can someone help me please??? :(
