How do I check the fuses on my car?

Well In my experience the cigarette lighter outlet fuse is located in the cab junction box (fuse box) Which is normally located In the door jam of under the driver side kick panel (down where the pedals are) if you locate the fuse box on the cover there SHOULD be a diagram about which fuse powers what. Look for one called Cig or Accessory. If it is a blade fuse (its a rectangle and colored with a number on top) pull it out (wont be easy) and look threw its side. if the metal inside is still touching on on both sides its ok, if the metal is separated then the fuse is blown and will need to be replaced with another that has the same number on top. they are sold at most auto parts stores.
