I dont know if i should go check myself?

Hi I'm 17 years old and thiss w the third time I had with my bf because itss been the third time since when I w a virgin and this time we did it he w going to put it in and for some reason it burned like really bad and weird but like I don't think it hurt cuz I hadn't done it for like a month already and I'm concerned that if itss somethinn seriouss or if itss normal. Ohh yeahh then after a while it didn't burn no more but I didn't really enjoy . So please help me should I be concerned?
