Id like to join the army or maybe airforce?

Because my aunt and uncle are in the army both are sargents and I appreciate what they and there friends do for this country. That they inspired me to join I sighned up for JROTC for when I'm in high school but I'm worried about being physsically fit. I'm also worried about objection from my mother about my descison but I'm almost positive I'm going to join but my mom says its best for me to continue school and go into politics. But I really want to do this cuz I feel like I want to be someone a somebody and contribute this countries protection. What should I do follow my uncles path and become a soilder or follow my mothers desicion to continue school.. also both my aunt and uncle praise my desicion to join. After high school I'm going to spend summer at my uncles and then if I'm ready and truly positive I'm going to join. What do you guys think. I'm also going to let this go into voting
