Is it inappropiate for a doctor to tell me this?

I visited a new doctor today in hopes that she would be better then the last...i'm 23 and I just had a baby and I told her I don't smoke around my baby after she questioned me and then she said that I might as well smoke around him because "What do you think he breathes in when you pick him up and smoke is on you clothes?" Those are her exact words and she was extremly condescending. I visited her for my panic disorder and in my opinion I think it was inappropiate. I would appreciate input and opinions from others! Thank you so much.
