Will Wes Matthews of the Portland Blazers still be good in the Blazers?

I think he was a terrific player and starter for the Utah Jazz last season. Now too bad that Matthews has to be a bench behind Brandon Roy. I am not a fan of the Blazers, but I like Matthews. Will he still be good as a bench?
